What is an Employee Assistance Programme?

An EAP (Employee Assistance Programme) is a workplace benefit offering confidential, no-cost support to employees facing personal or professional challenges. It provides a safe space for employees and their immediate family members to discuss any challenges that they may have which may negatively impact their mental health or their work performance.

Through short-term counselling, resources, and referrals, EAPs help individuals manage issues like stress, mental health, and relationship difficulties, contributing to their wellbeing and a more productive work environment.

How It works

How do our EAPs work?

  1. Your employee calls and a telephone advisor identifies the type of call. If your employee is after legal and financial support we'll pass them to the relevant advisor straight away.
  2. If your employee needs mental health and emotional support, our advisor will assess the situation and schedule their first session.
  3. Within a few days (up to 5 working days) our counsellor will carry out an in-depth clinical assessment and connect them with the best help based on what they need.
  4. We give ongoing counselling and support to ensure your employee is best supported and should they need longer-term support, we'll refer them.
