How would you rate the quality of service you have received from us?

The portals are very easy to use. It's easy to make a claim, but also to make sure the team is getting the full use of the benefits. Account management is great, our account manager is very helpful and responsive.

The customer service side is a little bit slower to respond, and we've been a bit disappointed in some of the limits on claims.

How has our health cash plan helped your organisation / improved your overall employee benefits package?

We hadn't previously ventured into benefits. The problem with many benefits is that often, people would rather just have the money in their wages. We didn't want to offer benefits just for the sake of saying we offered them, if that money was better going straight into salaries. We also didn't want the sort of benefits that trap employees who are otherwise unhappy, just because they can't afford to leave.

We wanted benefits that support a happy team to stay healthier. It is an efficient way for us to help staff and their families. BHSF supports our overall approach of supporting employees holistically and valuing them as whole people, not just workers. And because there are so many things you can claim on, everybody is benefitting. Most importantly, BHSF is something our employees genuinely value.

Can you provide any examples of how our plan has supported a healthier workplace or contributed to employee wellbeing?

Quite a few employees have been prompted to book appointments they were otherwise putting off, or wouldn't have thought to have. One of the most popular has been dental, as it prompted people to get check ups rather than wait for a problem. The plan has also encouraged individuals to book physio and deep tissue massages, which they otherwise wouldn't have considered, but which will prevent problems and improve wellbeing.

Another popular benefit has been optical allowances. As we spend a lot of time at computers we already provide eye tests, so the additional allowance has meant extra budget for employees to choose frames they really love.

So it has been beneficial to all-round wellbeing, as well as health.

Can you describe any features of our health cash plan that have particularly impressed you?

It's great value.

We also like the cover for children. If employees are worried about their family's health, that is going to affect their wellbeing. Being able to offer support for their children will help ease some of this stress, and contribute to mental wellbeing. It also shows that we value our team as whole people with families and a life outside of work.

What made you choose our plan over others in the market?

We started off with a few employees in mind, who were suffering with a range of issues such as back pain, migraines and insomnia. We started off looking for services or subscriptions to help. But BHSF had the widest range of benefits at the best value. It also wasn't a problem that some conditions were pre-existing, which was very important for us. The cashback system provided the flexibility that people could choose their own services to fit their needs, while lessening financial constraints.

It benefits all employees - not just those with current health issues.
