Supporting the higher education sector

We are proud to be working with the University of Birmingham, providing our Health Cash Plan to their employees. A leading global university, it was founded in 1767, and in recent years has become nationally recognised as a research centre for mental health. Katie Compton – HR Project Officer- Reward & Benefits at the University of Birmingham gave us her views.

Sector: Higher Education

BHSF service: Health Cash Plan

Katie Compton – HR Project Officer - Reward & Benefits says:

“We confidently promote the BHSF Health Cash Plan as a salary‑deductible staff benefit available to all employees. BHSF is an established and trusted name in Birmingham, offering a practical way for our workforce to spread the cost of everyday health‑related expenses.

The cash plan is straightforward for members to access and understand, and equally simple for us to administer. The BHSF team is consistently friendly, responsive, and supportive, which makes the partnership feel effortless. The newer digital tools introduced in recent years have been especially well received. They give employees quicker access to health solutions and diagnostics that they might otherwise wait significantly longer for through the NHS, and staff are often pleasantly surprised by the breadth of these features.”

One of the key points Katie Compton highlighted in her feedback was the glowing praise she had for our senior account manager, Jo logan. Katie mentioned that she has worked alongside Jo for over seven years and this is where she has seen evidence of Jo’s passion for her role as well as well her commitment to the individuals who benefit from the Health Cash Plan they currently have with BHSF. Another point she highlighted about Jo was the invaluable support she as a client has received and jo’s sincerity in being an advocate for workplace wellbeing.
